Nina Dopamine

About Me

Nina Dopamine is a New York-based pop rock singer-songwriter whose music turns emotional oversharing into catharsis. Blending explosive early-2000s pop rock influences with sharply self-aware songwriting, her songs chronicle the intensity of falling in love too hard, attaching too quickly, romanticizing strangers, and searching for salvation inside relationships that often collapse under the weight of those expectations.

Before music, Nina worked as a software engineer in New York after graduating from Harvard. At 28, with no formal musical background, she wrote her first song alone on acoustic guitar as a way to process overwhelming emotions. What began as private emotional survival quickly evolved into an obsessive creative pursuit.

Her upcoming EP, dopamine rush, explores obsession, heartbreak, emotional dependency, fantasy, and the desperate hope that another person might somehow save you from yourself. Through songs that are simultaneously devastating, self-aware, romantic, funny, and painfully sincere, Nina explores romance not just as love, but as escape — a way to outrun loneliness, childhood wounds, shame, and the unbearable feeling of being trapped in your own life.
